The Clemson Community

Clemson, South Carolina and its environs occupies a beautiful piece of the Upstate. Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Foothills, Clemson offers four seasons worth of natural beauty. In addition to the State Botanical Gardens, residents enjoy easy access to Lakes Hartwell and Keowee, the mountains, innumberable waterfalls, hiking trails, and other opportunities to savor the outdoors. Cultural pursuits are also at hand, with the venerable Brooks Center for the Performing Arts in town, as well as a good number of community theaters. The city of Greenville, just forty minutes away, also has much to offer in this regard.

Education is at the heart of Clemson, though it is not just Clemson University that makes this so. From Clemson Elementary to Daniel High School to a selection of institutions of higher learning within the area, Clemson puts an emphasis on education. For those who never tire of learning, there is a rich historical heritage to explore. A part of South Carolina's Heritage Corridor, a great number of historic homes and sites present a picture of the development of this land over the last 300 years, from the time of the Cherokees to the Colonies, to the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

Whether you are new to the area or have been here all your life, there is always something more to discover here.
